ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC OF JOSHUA BENNETT

Joshua Bennett has been playing and making music since he was a kid. He studied jazz and blues, and began performing professionally in Baton Rouge, LA, and New Orleans in 2001, playing with legendary blues artists like Tabby and Chris Thomas King, Raful Neal and the Neal Brothers, J. Monque'D and others. In 2005 he began performing in New York, working with a range of artists, performing and opening for groups like The Pharcyde.  In 2023, he's begun releasing a back-catalogue of dozens of songs he recorded but never released. His music mixes singer-songwriter, acoustic songs, with a deep love of jazz and blues, and a fascination with electronic music and new digital recording technologies. In 2017 he was nominated for Grammy as a producer on the 8 part PBS music series "Soundbreaking"
